To produce units with treated heat exchangers: first of all it is an”energy question”

The Directive 2009/125/CE for ErP (Energy-related-Products), determines the requirements of eco-design for all products that use energy and promotes the energy labelling. But the energy labelling is referred to the initial state of the unit; the deterioration of the heat exchange surfaces leads to a performance decrease which may affect negatively the performance of heating and cooling systems and of air renewal and purification.
In the Designer section it is described an example concerning a water chiller of 329 kW which is quite interesting and gives an idea of the order of magnitude of this basic fact so often ignored.

The air side heat exchange is quickly moving in many fields from the classic round tube copper and aluminium coils to the all aluminium microchannel coils. In both cases the corrosion generated by ambient conditions can seriously reduce the performance due to a deterioration of the finned surface.

For the coil manufacturers the surface protection is an important element which will increase the quality of the product and the added value of the offer. For the coil manufacturers , further to the traditional anticorrosion service in our workshop, we have proposals of integration of our exclusive process in their own production factories.
